Urgent help required with eBay - HELP!

I've just bought a phone from ebay for £24.99 and £7 postage, won it at the starting price. Me and seller had agreed via ebay messaging service that he'll knock it down to £22 including delivery.

When seller tries to discount price, he cannot discount it more than £7 which is the postage cost.

Is there anyway round this so I am still protected through PayPal?

they need to send you a new invoice

Get the seller to send you a money request via Paypal,as long as they put it as Ebay goods with the relevant item number you will still be covered.

Alternatively the seller can change the P&P to Collection in Person - £0 whilst deducting the other £2.99 through the +/- bit and then still post it. :)

Seller can add a discount to the eBay invoice. Section at the bottom to say seller charges/discounts, just need to put the amount with a negative sign.

Can't you just pay the full amount, then on the original Paypal transaction page the seller can click on refund and refund you the difference,no fees are incurred if he does it via the original Payal page.

But does collection in person not count as £7 discount for the P&P already?

If you won the auction, why is seller giving you a discount?

I asked earlier,it's because the seller is actually selling it for less than the bid price, bizarre i know lol

The only other way is to pay the £24.99 on the invoice and he can then refund you the £2.49 :)

dont think the sellers trying to swindle you or anything btw, i sold a pair of boots on ebay recently and the person wants pick up but changing the invoice page wasnt working for me, i changed to pick up to remove the postage costs and it would never remove that from the price so i couldnt properly invoice the person

we have just dealt through paying direct into paypal through uder the payment for ebay goods or whatever it is

think there must be sumthing malfunctioning cause its annoying it wouldnt allow me to submit the different invoice

also on the topic of the seller refunding, one problem i would have thought there is that the seller then incurrs the ebay fees at the full price and not the discounted price...

the invoicing thing should just work properly

you need to think to yourself...

a) why start it at that price
b) why knock off £7
c) guilty consience?

personally wouldn't touch it... you got a item number?

i bought a belt on ebay for less than the price because.... i asked the guy if he would take that much on it prior to bidding on the thing, he said he would, so then i bid on it, paid the lesser price and now own it,

probably the only good thing ive ever bought off ebay incidently, its full of a lot of cwap

Guys actually got excellent feedback (over 900). I paid him yesterday directly through PayPal quoting item number and seller posted this morning and has given me tracking number.
All is well then :)
