Urgent help!! *THE FINALE UPDATE* FINITO DONE

Basically I sold something on AVForums and now he has told me the game is heavily scratched there are minor cracks in the inner ring and also that it skips. I've never had any problems with playing the game never skipped on me. And I checked the game before putting it up for sale and before sending it off and it wasn't heavily scratched and there definitely weren't any cracks.

He's told a mod and we're discussing it, the buyer isn't even involved in the discussion and no-ones asked him for any proof just taking his word over mine (Which IMO is because I have 1 trader feedback and am quite new on there).

He also complained a day after he got it? So what's to say his console didn't scratch it and hes trying to claim or he already had a scratched disc and might be trying to switch it.

I'm worried about giving him a full refund and then receiving a disc that never had any scratches now with scratches which is then useless to me.

Never came to my mind this would happen but I definitely will next time.

maybe he is trying to scam you maybe he has played the disc and no longer wants it, i wouldnt refund him tell him to post a pic?

A pic wouldn't actually prove anything,he could have scratched it after being received or he could have been looking for a free replacement for a scratched one he had already

Exactly what I was thinking but he still insists he does like the game and he really wanted to play it.

I would but he could easily scratched this disc and then post it or his console could've scratched it and realised he could get his money back hence why it took him a day to claim but the mod is not listening to what I have to say at all just insists I am lying and that I should refund him.

That's what I told the mod but he didn't even give me a reply to it.
#15
i would not refund him as you say it was not damaged when you sent it so i would stick to my guns, how much was it?
#16
Also his reason to accuse me is because I didn't mention the case was in such a great condition because he had sticker residue and wouldn't close in my original ad but I pm'ed the buyer before sending it off that the case wasn't in a satisfactory state and I could if he wanted post it in a black case but the seller said the green case was fine.

The mod has pinned me to that and keeps mentioning it I told him it was a genuine mistake and I forgot to mention it.

£20 which I don't really want to lose i've lost enough money on this selling and buying business already!
#18
Could you maybe try saying you have it security marked so that would at least rule out the possibility of him considering trying to return a previously scratched disc ?

That would be lying and I'd be as bad as him wouldn't I?

He could've scratched it or swapped it with a scratched game my friend thats the problem.

That would be lying.
Someone mentioned it on the thread and this was my reply.

I dispatched it on the 30th he got it on the 31st.
I apologised greatly for my delay and he even asked for a full refund but I had already posted the game on that day which he was okay with because he didn't reply after that.

Yes I have the receipt tracking number etc.

I didn't think of that mate plus it would be quite harsh as it wouldn't be my possession anymore so I can't write on other peoples possessions.

Does a seller really have to take pictures of his cds before he sends them and does he have to mark his cds in UV? Whatever happened to trusting a buyer or even a seller? Personally its people like this buyer who break this trust.

tip for the future

always mark items you sell with a UV pen. Then you can tell if they are scamming you when they send the item back :)

more than likely trying to swap his faulty one with the one you sent him

maybe look at his posts to see if he mentions the game previously (e.g. xxxx is a great game, bought it last year) :-D

Read the above posts lol.
And I guess I will in the future.

Ill check his xbox gamertag

Well it would look pretty much like you've a choice of either being down £20 if you agree to accept a return of a damaged disc or your going to have to accept he'll leave you bad feedback (assuming feedback is left on that site?) or maybe a ban depending on how the mod's look at it if you don't abide by their decission,

Its your word against theirs and there's little you can do
#28
will be a trading ban and neg feedback

I found that hes got a few achievements and even played it yesterday.

He also got an achievement the day before I sent it? and one after I sent it (the day he received it).

He stated the game is unplayable and doesn't work.

why not say you want the game disk returned to check it for authenticity. Say you have marked it with some invisible UV ink ;-)

if he played it the day before you sent it then maybe that one is now damaged and he is trying to pull a fast one?
