Someone in my street is saying that linda's pc is connected to there wireless. They have only just set there wireless up I've had mine for years. They have a belkin and mines netgear and I'm with Virgin.

When I look at my options it's saying I'm connected to Virgin like I should be. So how come it's say to them that I'm connected to theres?

Tell them to make theirs secure so you can't connect to it

Are you sure its saying that you're connected to them, when we set up our wireless it gave us a list of ones to choose from, maybe its just saying that your's is available, obviously tho they wouldn't be able to access it without a password.

thats the hostname of the pc they see connected - ask them for the mac address of the 'linda's pc' they will find this on their router.

Then do an ipconfig/all and check for the same mac address on your pc.

if they release it does it come back or if they turn thier router off for a sec do you loose internet access to your pc?

It could be that your PC is roaming and connecting to theirs when the signal is stronger if you have a old router

Maybe it's a list of those that could connect? Kinda like bluetooth I suppose...
