Its just been weeks of speculation by the media once again against Arsenal it seems. anelka, Viera, pires, henry, fabregas, nasri, RVP then walcott........it just gets boring and I'm sure the Arsenal cow was milked dry during the Viera saga
welcome to the 90's
What by spending £20,000,000 on a player?
Trolling or been under a rock for 15 years, the result is still the same.

Its not Wengers money.
United don't 'buy' leagues, despite what them trying to spend £68 million on new players might look like. ;)
It does seem as though Man City and Juve have pulled out of this deal though which means United can play hardball with Arsenal. It's a bit strange for Van Persie to moan about the direction Arsenal are going in and then join a team that won nothing last year and have a manager very much in his twilight.
I've also said the Lucas deal was a little odd - signing a 28 year old who works best in a system designed around him and didn't have a really good season until the age of 26 seems an odd one on paper. But he's relatively available and relatively cheap.
as in they wont pay over a certain wage or give someone a stupid long contract
i may be wrong, maybe thats the stumbling block at the moment

To say United are going in the wrong direction because of a bad season is ridiculous. Were Chelsea going in the wrong direction when they have failed to win a trophy (on many occasions)? No they were in "Transition". United are not going away, like it or not they're here to stay - Im a poet and I didn't know it.

No, we were going in the wrong direction. That's why we've changed things around now.
The focus is now on young, technically gifted youngsters whereas before it was a much more pragmatic style of football. In my view, United don't have the financial advantage they once had and the most important figure at the club is possibly entering his final season as a manager. Also the foundation of their success (the youth team products who were truly world class) has been replicated and even overtaken by other clubs who are having greater success at youth level.
Fixed.
Rivalries aside, to me it does seem like theses 'offers' for players are being made to try and placate the fans. Kagawa was a shrewd bit of business, as it'll give you even more media attention with the Asian market than you got from Ji-Sung Park, but with the likes of Van Persie and Lucas Moura, do the Glazers really see spending big being 'good for business'?

errrr but its not just 20m is it?
from the top of my head head i reckon its up near 150m in the last 3 seasons?
but lets ignore that eh?
