V Festival , Spending money??

Hi guys!

My mate and I are going to Weston Park V Festival this year, and its our first festival!!
We have sorted out everything, but were a bit shakey on how much money we would need to take, obviously we want enough to have a good time, but not too much just in case the worst happens!

We will be there for a total of 5 days, all our travel will have been paid for, so just need to sort out how much spending money to take.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you'll probably need quite a bit for food - a burger will set you back around £4.

Last time I went to Reading, a pint of Carling cost £3 - god knows how much it is now.

I took £100 to reading (3 years ago) and that was enough

yh probs £100...but remember they have cashpoints at the festival in contrainers....if they have money in is another question.....and the queues are LONG

when i go to glastonbury i usually bring around £60 or £70 per day.

Food and drink is expensive at festrivals and your money seems to go very quickly

At latitude I spend about £90, food was about £5-7, was a bout £3.70 a pint. £100 is probley enough though take a bank card just in case. Also, if theres a supermarket offsite, set up camp and take a trip there, buy as much food and beer as you can carry, you'll save a load.

i took my own beer in. Have to be very careful not to get caught though.

(in the arena obviously!)

I took £150 to reading 2006 that was getting there thursday morning and leaving monday midday.

Can get crates of beer outside the festivals so you dont need to pay £3 a pint.

And Reading and Leeds have had a cold beer amnesty in previous years, where you can swap your warm cans for a pint of cold carling.

Should be called a warmn beer amnesty, really.

Thanks guys!
My m8's brother is a regular at download and he said about £100 as well, but I wanted to get other peoples opinions. He is also lending us his camping cooker which should save us a few quid.......for booze.

Once again cheers

I CANT WAIT FOR V!!

Whoooooo!

100 quid for day maybe...100 quid for the whole weekend is just madness.

I do 100 quid a day easily at festivals.
