Valuation for phone please

Hi all,

Looking to sell my Sony Xperia Play and unsure of what it's worth?

It's locked to Vodafone and is about 3 weeks old in as new condition.

Ebay prices seem a bit low as it's still around £400 plus to buy simfree from play/amazon.

So, what do you think it's worth?

Should give you a rough idea...

Remember though people want a 2nd hand bargain and cex has 12months warranty.

Cheers for that. CEX is a bit hit and miss sometimes. When using them as a guide I tend to ask for somewhere in between the trade and cash value.

There is a guy in work offering £280 for the phone, so I reckon I should bite his hand off :3

Ebay prices are normally inflated compared to what you would get on here or other forums.

Yeah mate, I always take into account fees and the like. I am just surprised how little they seem to be selling for on the bay!

Kinda off the subject but.. are you sure the handset is locked. My contracts have been direct through voda for the past few years and the handsets have not been locked. I just tried for the sake of it and the spare sims i had (o2 and T-mob) worked.

Unfortunately it is :( Got it from the Vodafone store and have checked Orange and o2 sims with no joy.

Haven't even asked yet mate. Only got it a few weeks ago, so somehow doubt they will, without a fee.

That's why I am asking how much it's worth, not how much it's not.
