Comedy story from theregister this morning...

BAA is investigating an incident in which a Heathrow security operative "ogled" a female colleague who'd wandered into a body scanner, the Sun reports.

John Laker, 25, allegedly copped an eyeful of Jo Margetson, 29, when the latter "entered the X-ray machine by mistake". She was "horrified" as Laker "pressed a button to take a revealing photo" and remarked: "I love those gigantic ****."

i thought it was funny.

i used to work in a mainly male envoiroment, i used to join in with the banter, some people would be shocked at the comments i got from my colleagues but i took it how it was as a joke.

some people need to lighten up

And do these scanners actually detect bombs? Not really.....so yeah to see peoples boobs are probably what they were installed for.

The voice of experience??? :whistling:

I'm sure they might notice this to be honest? (Do not click if an xray image of someone carrying weapons might offend.)

They can see weapons such as guns and knives, but ordinary metal detectors find these anyway.
The "Detroit attempted bomber" went through one of these new body scanners and wasn't caught, because they can't pick up those bombs on the scanners.

You do realise plastic made guns and knifes do a pretty good job and undetectable in metal detectors?

To be honest though, most sensible people would welcome higher security and less chance of their plane being hijacked and blown up. I'm actually not shocked that you object to this.

I'm very happy when terrorists are thwarted.

I don't think someones going to bring down a plane with a water pistol :)
I'm only against the scanners as they are a massive waste of money, actually illegal as there are child protection laws that will be broken, peoples privacy in danger and a longer time going through security at airports, as each scan isn't just a few seconds.
