I have a question, but I'm using sarcasm to pretend I'm using satire to take the pee out of other threads.

I'm getting my ears syringed on Monday. The nurse is called Becky. I'm not sure if that is important, but they told me anyway.

Anyway, when the process is complete will I feel like some sort of power ranger with super hearing?

Anyone had it done? One of my ears has been blocked since I had a cold last month, but according to the doctor both my ears are KO'd, hence the appointment on Monday.

Anyone had it done? Not bothered about it hurting etc, just wanna know what effect it will have!

Yes! everything will be LOUD!

had it done a coupla times-you will feel like you have "super hearing" for a while yes-your ears have compensated for the lower hearing you have at the moment(if that makes sense)-once you have been syringed, you will walk out the surgery and the traffic noise will be so loud and clear!

it will calm down after a day or so tho and wont feel so weird.

I added thunder cats and ghostbusters to your thread. If you wish for me to remove such things from the tags, I certainly will.

Hope everything goes okay with your ears.

When I had mine done I could hear birds coughing at 100 paces for about an hour !!

I had it done years ago. It was sooo nice.

The difference in the hearing afterwards was remarkable. I went outside the Docs and everything was so LOUD, I thought the world had gone mad.

Cheers - always like tag abuse. Most of my threads get it, so these are probably closer to the topic than most!

I'm looking forward to it really - people say it might hurt but I'm not bothered, its really doing my head in being virtually deaf in one ear!

I was going to go with Scooby doo based on the power rangers but really guessed it's not really the right thing for this thread, maybe next time.

Maybe its a good thing no whine from female counter-parts. "Oh I forgot" takes on a new meaning.

I had it done only once when I was 15 and found it uncomfortable and didn't feel my hearing was that great afterwards as many say it is,just seemed normal afterwards.

I would say its 100% LIKELY

anyway Becky sounds like a nice girl so im sure this will be no problem.
:santa:

my ears arent the best when I went to doctors a while ago they said they were fine though. Did u just request for your ears to be syringed and the doctor confirmed it needed to be done? or where you just adamant about getting it done? (srs)

Ok I just realised Dr said your ears are mashed lol, has anyone got experience of Drs saying their ears were fine but went ahead with getting them done anyway?

No  obviously they use a hose pipe (don't worry too much the first few mins is the worse!) .. ... they don't always need the sprinkler attachment, a real eye opener this procedure ;-)

I had mine done and fell over... that said I've always had to compensate for having c**p balance...

its a bif different to someone posting a thread saying am i pregnant or ive noticed this lump is it cancer, OP just wants to get peoples personal feedback of how it felt after, the Dr can only offer one avenue of opinion. :)

Yeah basically rung up and said I needed it done, they asked if I seen the doc already, I said no and they said first time you need to see doc first, so I got an appointment, spent about 3 mins there he did a check said yeah they are a reet mess lad, and sent me on my way to the nurses bit to make an appointment.
