1) Stop typing in caps

2) That isn't a high price

If you can't afford to pay, there is some charity that can help. I cat't remember the name, but its very well known, and any vet you get in touch with will be able to point you towards them. Personally I think if you can't afford to look after them, you shouldn't be allowed to keep them, but the charity is there because seemingly not everyone agrees with me :)

My vet charges £15 per consultation, but akin to vibeone, if your wincing at consultation costs what you going to do if your pet needs treatment, neighbours bulldog has recently run up a bill of 4K that was NOT covered by the insurance policy.

son lost his job and and after 14 years of paying vet bills used the pdsa...there is a real need for them in these circumstances-they put his cat down as he was so ill.

Best insurance for pets is to put a bit of money away a month - then EVERYTHING is covered!

Well no its not up to you, and not good etiquette - as you can see as the forum software has automatically sentence cased your rude reply. if you want this place to be about "helping people" I suggest you improve your attitude. Plenty of helpful replies here, all of which you have ignored.

Yeah in hindsight I'm sure there are exceptions. This thread (and the OPs replies) suggest this is not one of them :P

i know but to me it makes no difference if someone types in caps or not it doesnt bother me. so why do people on here get so hyped up if someone does.
#16
I don't bother saying anything when people do type in caps,BUT a large block of caps without a paragraph in is more difficult to read i find.
#17
My very first consultations - more of a general checkup rather than anything specific have always been free.

This forum is very strange about typing in CAPS - one well know member always does and no-one ever complains, but for the lesser mortals the moaning minnies come out in force.

Because its irritating, hard to read and completely and utterly pointless? I understand you don't care, but you must realise it annoys plenty of people. Not sure why you'd continue with it knowing you are pissing off half your audience - especially in a help thread.

you are the only person to complain in the thread, you havent really given her any advise have you and can see before you enter the thread she is using caps so why bother commenting on the thread thats pointless.any end of i am not here to argue but cut her some slack and if you dont like it then stay off her threads easy as that.

Oh trust me - I complain about him too, but since he gets favours from the mods, its hard to get anything done about it. BTW, this forum is very very tolerant of caps, compared with many other forums.

its appears like you are shouting, having said that im not bothered by it and have seen another member writing in caps, so i say carry on!

Hmm.... 1) No I'm not. Read again. 2) I gave advice regarding a charity in my very first post - because on the information she had given, I wrongly assumed thats what she was after. You appear to have read a completely different thread to me.

i just dont see the point in having a go at her for using caps, so what big deal like others have said there is other people that use caps on the site and nothing gets said to them. you cannot make people change the way they do things just because you dont like it.

Sheesh. Read the thread. My entire comment regarding caps was:

1) Stop typing in caps

Until she responded, that was all there was. Yes there are other people on the site who use caps - I'm not singling anyone out, and nor am I the only one with a problem with it. Its widely construed to be bad general forum, and internet/computing ettiquete to type all in capitals. Thats ALL it is.

In support of VB1 he did give advice and pointed out the use of caps lock is annoying. He hardly called for the member to be banned in my opinion it was the OP that overreacted and yes writing in caps lock can be annoying and hard to read.

Anyway on the question £30 is not bad - personally I would begrudge paying it but if you can get if for free why not try?

well i don't like that you write in blue font :p

Your right in a sense but really...who cares and does it even matter on the whole scale of things?

Our local vets charges around £20 for 1st consultation. I was talking to them last week as we had to have our rabbits front etth out. She was saying that often country practices like the one we go to are cheaper than city vets. She had no reason to lie as I had already paid the bill and had a much more expensive quote from a city vet. If you live in a city it could be worth a drive out to a country practice.
