My daughter who is 5, has a victorian day at the school this friday. She has got to go dressed in victorian costume. I haven't a clue with sewing etc so am unable to make anything. Does anybody know where i can get one from, i'm from Wolverhampton in the west mids. Very short notice i know. Thanks in advance.

cant you improvise? dont you have a skirt you can alter and add elastic? and then add a t-shirt and shawl? if its just for school most parents wont pay out a lot will they?

or a little puff-sleeved t-shirt? then a woolen type blanket cut down as a shawl, pinned on or tied? you can always get a skirt from the charity shop?

There's a shop in Ironbridge that has Victorian costumes for people to wear while they get their photo taken (sorry I can't remember the name), perhaps they also sell them?
