Virgin Cancellation

Going to ring Virgin and ask for an upgrade to 20mb or poss 50mb. unsure what im actually after, but gonna see what they can offer me. now if nothing seems decent enough & I threaten to cancel, but they actually do cancel without trying to offer me something. Could I simply re-sign up in my other halfs name after the cancellation has gone thru (should it come to that)??

Anybody had recent experience of getting something better? ie 50mb @ a reduced price for x months etc....

My dad was talking about this yesterday too. He received a bill stating the 10mb connection we were on was costing £25.25 a month. Yet they were advertising that we could get 20mb for £25 a month.

When he called to enquire, they said that it was going to cost an extra £12 on top of what we're already paying.

Time to use their compains procedure :D

I just did this. Cancellation period is 1 month. So go ahead and schedule the cancel. About 2 days later a Virgin Medica customer services person not INDIAN, will ring and have a chat and will then offer you quite alot. We got a free v+ HD box, XL TV package, 20mb broadband which he said goes up to 30mb in march and a free new home hub.

Forgot to mention, you can always stop the cancellation going through at any point within the 30 days.

I take it that includes phone line rental?

why do you need more than 10mbps? I am on that and find speeds superb and must download 150GB a month without any problems.

just signed up for 50mb + phone line for £37.24 a month.

was paying £20.75 for 10mb & around £16 a month for phone bill with BT a month. so for around under a quid extra a month ive got a decent deal.
