Hi,

When on virgin media do you get Sky Movies and Sports in HD? As a long term customer of Sky I'm a bit angry that they won't give me a deal on my package so have cancelled and was planning to go with Virgin media but am I right in thinking that there are very few HD channels on Virgin and that the Sports and Movies channels are not HD?
Thanks for any info

Thanks for all the help. We currently have all channels on HD on Sky and we find a huge difference on our Panny 42" plasma. Don't think OH would go back to watching rugby and soccer in SD now he's used to watching HD.
Oh well grovelling phone call to Sky methinks.

wickedteen, you might not see a difference and if so it doesn't matter.
However some people can tell the difference and appreciate the added clarity, the same way some people can hear the difference in sound quality from 128kb to 320kb to flac.
For example I think HD Band Of Brothers looks much better than the standard definition footage.

I def notice a difference on my 5 series 50" samsung. HD is much sharper.
