Hi guys, thinking of getting virgin media in my new house and am in the process of wiring it up. How many co-axial cables do you need?is it two like you need for sky hd? Thanks for any info!

depends on were VM stick the distrubution point for phone/tv/broadband. normally they split the dp points to i.e. living room, bedroom and then you can split again if you wanted both tv and broadband modem in your room. VM data for broadband/tv signal travels on the same wire, there is a seperate wiring for the voice cable i.e. for phones.

you dont need to do any wiring yourself, they do it all for you.

We had one cable coming into the house by the TV, he put a splitter on this and two 1m cables one to the TV and one to the router.


Yup, one cable from the wall to a splitter then one to tv and one to modem, i think VM are more sophisticated than Sky as we only need one cable ;)
