was you paying full vat rate before the reduction as vat on gas and leccie was not the full 17.5% in the first place

VAT on Telecoms and Digital TV was the full 17.5% virgin may choose not to pass the saving on to the end user.

My service charge was £30 and is now £29.35, so yes they have passed the saving onto me.

A great big 65p thank you so much gordon

Dont forget that you pay for your Virgin Media bill a month in advance, so the VAT cut rate may not show until the next billing date in February I guess.

do the simple maths.

Take your latest bill check the amout befor vat and calculate 15%, does it reflect on your invoice, if not then calculate 17.5% and check again.

do the same for the november or older invoice and you will see what rate you are paying now and what you were paying in the past.

vat applied when any company make a bill, if they raise invoice on 30th nov it should be 17.5% and if its on 1st dec it should be 15%, even though services are a month after.
