just had a email from virgin media, From the 1st of june 2008, virgin media broadband technical support line will be free from a virgin media phone and local rate from any other.
just dial 151 for free from your Virgin Phone or 0845 454 1111* from any other phone.

*Calls to 0845 numbers cost 7p per minute with a 7p connection charge from a Virgin phone. Calls from other networks may vary.

this aint a deal.. it's more of a marketing scheme to make it look like Virgin is helping but between now and the 1st of June if my internet is down it still costs me 25p per minute to call India and speak with a consultant... that is until they discover that it's their fault and the call is refunded... Criminals!

Sky are also apparently introducing something similar soon for SKY talk customers only. But for me, for any company [url]www.saynoto0870,com[/url] works a treat..
Well everyone on virgin will get this email like i did ,So pointless post for me.
Good post for me thanks - never log on to my old cable email, so I didn't know about the change back to free net support. It's about time they stopped charging you to tell them their broadband has failed! Virgin introduced the premium rate rip off line just after I joined them last year, - criminals. You have to dial saynoto0870 didn't work for an alternative? Broadband signal failed a few times - got round the premium number by always phoning the free number saying that I wanted to complain about problem with the V plus reception and then mention the internet not working properly too. Was going to change to Sky, but didn't realise they charged too.
Moved to misc, not a deal IMO :) Thanks for the info though.
