Virgin Media - Internet Speed

Just wondered if anybody was experiencing a sudden increase in speed from the Virgin ISP, which used to be Telewest. I pay for a 20 Mbps but over the last week it has constantly run at around 28 Mbps. Did not want to speak to Virgin in case they throttled me back. I was not aware of any free speed upgrades in the pipeline.

It should be impossible to exceed 20mbs due to throttles etc. in place in at least 3 locations. If you want me to check pm me your mac address and I'll look up what's happening, I work for VM ;-)

had a letter the other day saying something about they are going to 50MB within the year...

maybe they are doing some testing in your area?
