Virgin Media Quidco - question

I am planning to order VM 'TV M+' + 'V+ Service' along with a 'V+HD box'.

VM have recently raised quidco to £150, which looks like a very attractive deal.

However, as I am ordering only TV services, I feel that Quidco may not track or be paid for this order.

The Quidco main pages says - "£150 cashback on any cable product", but clicking on the Virgin Media link says "cable bundles" which means either 2 or 3 services from TV, Phone or broadband.

Has anyone who ordered just TV services (cable) received quidco from them?

when i got BB - it worked out cheaper to get a phone line, and so done that on both occasions - but TV is still a cable product... so it should do

"for all cable package / bundles (cable tv, cable broadband, cable phone)" - so it will do

yes, if u need BB then it turns out cheaper.

I just need to keep my BT line as I am in contract with my ADSL ISP, so can't cancel BT & broadband to switch to Virgin.

So, have decided to just order TV.

Plus their £18 per month bundle for three services is false economy as they charge an extra £11.99 for the virgin phone line rental.

Yes, I am not going for their BB service - but just the TV.

And, do you really need a MAC if you are moving from cable broadband (virgin) to ADSL broadband.

EDIT: If you are on Virgin Media National Service (ADSL) broadband, then yes you need a MAC code.

Ok, so on ADSL speeds of the order of 4-5 mb are 'normal'.

My question was about their cable services though.

THIS!!

Can you please give me a lin to the forums? Ive been reporting this problem for five months now, with NO joy, its awful. My son can't play his XBox most of the time late at night due to being on .5mb. The Asian staff just deny everything, it is VERY frustrating. Ive phoned at least ten times about this problem and all Ive managed to get is a new modem sent out, and an appt with a technician who phoned in advance. When I told him the problem he said there is nothing he can do about it, its a massive problem all ove Glasgow (im sure everywhere else too) and theyre getting hundreds of calls every day about it.

Im thinking maybe we should ALL phone every time it happens, until they get so fed up, they act on it.

justed pm'd u the address (head of complaints) for virgin, send her an email she got back to me within 24 hours, n offered me 2 choices .my Mac code (i,m still 5 months to go ) and leave without penalty, or a goodwill gesture of £9 to see how it goes for the next week, i took the £9 n told her if nothing changes i will require my mac code, she said no problems,
she knows theres a prob and i,m not the only one shes offered it too either, theres a few on virgin help forum that emailed her n got it , only reason i took the £9 is i dont really if i have to leave, just thought id give them a chance in the hope the problem will be sorted, but as of 6.30pm 2nite,
still the same downloads speeds of .50 which as u can imagine is rubbish lol ,
