Change to sky better customer service and look after there existing ones, im always getting offers and discounts. Ok virgins broadband is better but thats it , skys basic tv is £24 thats everything except sports and movies , basic broadband up to 20 meg is free , line rental is £11 with sky talk (free evening and weekend calls). I was with virgin years ago before and would never go back , i bet if you ring to cancel they wont offer you anything hope this helps .

same problem here..we're with virgin who gives us Broadband up to 20 mb and M package for TV...for £38....just rang sky and asked them for a quote..same thing but for 50p more...I am a bit disappointed with the speed of th broadband and would like to stay with virgin but go for the up to 50 mb for the same money...tried to haggle with them but no result yet...will call again tomorrow...if they still don't want to...I think I will switch to sky as I've heard they have better internet,,,,we'll see

I have Sky HD in the bedroom (the £10 a month offer from a while ago) and V+ from Virgin downstairs.

The Sky HD is so much better. Box is quick and reliable makes the V+ box feel like a decade out of date.

The only thing that save Virgin is the tv on demand.

I am only interested in a better speed for the internet and a lower monthly bill...overall from these 2 which one's better?

Not sure who told you sky's broadband is better - but think you will be disappointed.
Why aren't you happy with the speed of the broadband? If you aren't getting the full 20mb then there's likely to be a fault.

If you are trying for a better deal, make sure you go to 'thinking of leaving us' when you ring, customer service can only offer rubbish deals

Ive got to agree its the only thing virgin have got going for them is that there broadband is better because its fibre optic, but its more expensive than sky and skys broadband is perfectly good but only as good as your phone line and how close to the exchange you are. I would check what your tel line is like first and what it can take .

I have Virgin broadband and can't fault it. Only ever had a few problems with it over the last million years that I've been with them. So I can't compare it to Sky Broadband

since when, i have been with $ky for 20 years this year and have never been offered anything apart from insurance for $ky +, the only time i have had deals is when i have phoned them up to ask if there was any deals for existing customers which i will be doing soon.
