Recently bought super smart TV. But it does not record, rewind, pause etc. SHUCKS

Previously had big old TV with a humax recorder. Twas just not the same after the digital switchover, loads of niggly probs.

So looks like I have to consider monthly subscription. Already Virgin BBand, land line and mobile customer. Exporing what options they could offer me and came across the TIVO which is due to be launched soon. Sounds brilliant but I am happy with what channels I have, just want the facility to record, select favourites etc.

Anyone have any further info on this yet ?

forgot to say, try sticking a booster on your ariel as it sounds as if signal may be a problem.

Thanks guys. Would I need separate boxes for each TV in the house or not. Love to record stuff then watch it later in bedroom......separate boxes needed?

Yes you will need separate boxes for each tv that you want to watch stuff on, unless you use something like a wireless transmitter to send the signal around the house.

Have wireless for computers etc. Is it the same thing or another unit needed?

Have looked at the AV site, good info but a bit techy for me oO

Its Different, also depends on what output your using, there is no qaulity way to send HDMI wirelessly yet, i personally have an HDMI matrix then run and HDMI cable to the second tv, this have a wireless remote sender to control it all, this is awesome as i also send my net top pc and xbox to the second tv (i live in a flat so the remote for the xbox and wireless mouse for pc still work.

Or use the Scart cable for both TVs as you can use a wireless AV sender but the quality isnt great,.

im now looking in to tivo as you can add it to M+ for £3 a month (aslong as it has HDMI) i to dont want to upgrade my channels.
