Hello, I use a vodafone pay as you go sim card alot.

Vodafone, for a good while now, have offered "Vodafone free weekends, texts and phone calls"

as long as you spend £5 in the week in credit by 12AM Friday.

I do this every week so i can ring my friends however, the phone cut off to one of my friends last night, so i rang vodafone this morning and they said since 19th of May they changed their terms and conditions clearly stating - Phone calls to other network providers shall only recieve 60 minutes for the whole weekend, Vodafone and landline calls will remain unlimited in 60 minute periods . This has really wound me up, because 60minutes for a FREE WEEKENDS offer isnt really good. And they never notified me, and i doubt anyone else either. It also was fine last week, i could ring as many people as i wanted on o2, orange, virgin etc. But that wasnt may 19th.

Is there anything i can do to complain?

i thought that was common knowledge that vodafone chnged that ..you can still call any other person on vodafone free all weekend it has just changed for calls to other networks..
and if u was able to still call other networks last weekend then i sure wouldnt be complaining if i was u..

But the problem is, they never notified me, if they did i could understand. But say i needed to ring someone on another network in an emergency, i'd rely on what i thought.

was ur fone not registered...all registered users i know off got text confirmation months before that...why do u think o2 upped their free txts and virgin started giving 5er free sims....it was bcos it was common knowledge that voda was quitting the free calls to some degree and other networks milked it to gain more customers

I got a confirmation of the 60minutes, put phone down etc. But i didnt get the one about ringing other networks.

Yes my phone is registered.

dnt realy think u can do owt about it..im on virgin n o2 myself but if u get free calls to voda then i will call them..or maybe email them..they must have an email support like o2..ask them why u wasnt made aware of the changes and u r now looking to change network...if they are nything like o2 they will throw in a freebie...
voda is losing a lot of customers who r now going to virgin so they need all the customers they can get

might be an idea to ask them if they are replacing 'weekend free calls offer' with a new offer being as they have stopped that one, just say that u make a lot of calls to various networks and u found thier 'weekend free calls' ideal and was there any new offer they had going as u r initialy looking for some kind of free calls from ANY network..may get them to throw u summit....

doubt they will though cause im not pay monthly, Any other networks that offer a roughly same deal to other networks? [Not free like, but you get my drift]

im on payg..i use o2 for txts and free calls and virgin for 3p txts ...voda was good for the free weekend calls but there are a lot of people changing networks now bcos they have changed the 'any network free weekend calls'...
i personaly think that voda will come up with a new deal soon...o2 is continously upping their free txts and 'rewards' and virgin is the cheapest for texts so i think voda has a bit of competition and will soon make a new offer to keep customers
