Just wondering if anyone experiences any problems with Vodafone on the signal front. Been with them a while now and I had the HTC Touch Pro 2, I'd be sat in one place, get 3 bars signal and then a few minutes later I get none, then it returns. I thought it was the phone, however, now I use an iPhone 3GS and its the same.

Im on contract with them till 2011, would I really have to pay all the contract off if I was to leave because I experience problems that aren't my fault?

Has anyone else had these problems?

Think Vodafone are having problems with a lot of their masts at the mo. Phoned them this morning about exactly the same thing to be told there is lots and lots of masts down. I wasn't very happy as I can't use my phone at all and usually have full signal. They very kindly gave me a small refund on my account as a gesture of goodwill but probably a lot more to do with the fact that my contract is due to expire shortly and they're trying to keep me sweet!!!

Have you considered getting a Vodafone Sure Signal device? It's only £50 and you get a full 3g signal in the house. I'd recommend this if you're getting a poor signal.

I was having the same problem using an N97, but I was getting sick of the phone anyway so I've sold it and bought a new Blackberry. The signal seems a bit better than it did before, it was getting ridiculous missing calls and texts all the time.

Why should I have to fork out extra for this?

I pay enough monthly as it is. Try ringing customer services and I'm just on hold, disgusting to be honest.

You could be on hold for a while - I was!! Hardly ever use my landline but having to use it all the time now cos not got enough reception to make or receive a call. Pathetic!!

well I think they are having problems with their signals in genral tbh as I usually have full signal....they'll probably tell you to give it some time...best place to get things done with vodafone however is their online customer services forum...as long as you're polite they usually get things sorted for you....

Phoned them earlier, was on hold for 10 minutes and then I got put through to techical support, the spanish guy walked me through resetting my phone to 3G and stuff, said my 3G signal hadn't been updated for 13 days when its supposed to be updated every 2 hours.

Then he said if you still have problems, ring customer services and they will take it from there.

I won't be paying to come off my contract early anyways - its not in the contract that should the signal be REALLY bad I still have to pay every month when I can't even use the phone.
