Yerp - O2 doing the same for the iPhone 4.. But 500MB!

Real shame.. I'm interested to see what T-Mobile are doing, as they're normally the network who beats everyone else with data bundles..
#6
Well o2 is no better for data infact worse on some tariffs. Can't wait to leave o2 after 3gs tariff expires in 12 months lol
banned#7
What are people's average data usages anyway? I must barely use 100MB a month.

Really? Streaming football?

average is 200mb apparently with 3% going over 500mb. I think this is roughly the same on all network. But i think that 3% is probably mostly iphone user and it will shoot up when the iphone 4 comes out with all its HD-ness.
#11

I can't access the link it says it Forbidden :x

How much is roughly the phone?
#12
Yerp, 3% of O2 customers go over 500MB.

That's 600,000 people - O2 have just over 1 million iPhone users.

Bet my wife that 590,000 of those 600,000 are iPhone users.
#13
I just got on same price as usual. But why do people keep paying this monopoly.
#14

Hmm.. is it just me or has the whole internet just crashed?

Thanks.. Hmm.. think i'll wait to see what the PAYG prices are.

Wonder if they're waiting to see what the other networks PAYG prices are going to be, or PAYG isn't initially going to be available - seems a bit strange to not release the PAYG prices if pre-ordering starts tomorrow.

If stocks of iPhone are going to be low then it makes perfect business sense to sell contract only to begin with.
#21
On all the tariffs there seems to be a £90 difference between the 16gb and 32gb versions. Hope the payg prices have the same difference.
#22
The cheapest way to get the 16gb phone is on the 30 a month for 18 months, this works out as the phone costing £729. However due to the lack of minutes the 35 a month works out as £779 and £40 a month works out as 809. Which seem better.
#23
so expensive,

i wonder what deals they will give to upgraders

3% = 600,000, so 100% = 19,806,000.

Find it hard to believe o2 have almost 20 million people using them as a network provider.

Almost 22 million actually

Crazy! Never knew 1/3 of the population used O2. Seems a ridiculous amount seeing as there are loads of other huge mobile providers. I assume they must count all of the companies who piggyback onto their network

No wonder their 3g network is so poor.

i thought the iphone 4 hd was 32gb and 64gb ?

Think it only includes Tesco Mobile in the figures

Aye it's crazy how big they've gotten
#32
Will get it through tesco hopefully with 10% discount
#33
Was there a shortage of the 3GS on launch ? Just surprised to see the quote "pre order yours by 22nd June and receive it on the 24th June", no need to stay up until midnight to pre-order one on PAYG though Apple/O2 ?

I was thinking the same but Tesco haven't announced they will have it for release. I emailed them about it but they couldn't confirm anything.
#35
I'll be waiting for T-Mobile pricing personally, due upgrade with them in Oct anyway.

Payg for me

Payg for me

Considering that myself.. Use my upgrade to drop the contract price right now and remain 3GB fair usage data bundle, then just buy the iPhone 4 outright
#38
Prices are extortionate!

Will personally be waiting for payg & buy it outright!... How would you get a 'micro-sim' though? I know there are websites tha show you how to 'botch' your own sim card to become one, but want it legit! Plus what happens if you decide to change, does the micro-sim have an adaptor so you can use it in a normal phone?

Any idea whether the PAYG will include free WIFI and internet for a year? currently the 3GS PAYG offer at £440 includes 250MB a month and free wifi.
