Vodafone Quidco problems!!
I ordered the £20 SIM only contract (600mins, unlimited texts) and went through Quidco. I also used the voucher code for the "free bluetooth headset". I entered my PAC number and the mobile number which I wanted to port on the order page.
Everything seemed to be going Okay, and £90 Quidco also 'tracked' within two hours.
However, the SIM didn't turn up in post for five days and then I received a very shabby looking email from VF mentioning that the "free bluetooth headset" is out of stock and the "order" will be sent when the headset is back in stock.
After waiting for six more days I decided to give VF a call on the expensive 0870 number. Someone "finally" attended the call and after a few keystrokes I was told that the SIM is on its way now and the order has been split into two -> 1-SIM 2-BT headset. She sounded a bit confused though.
Now, yesterday I receiced a call from VF sales team on the number which I wanted to port, the lady over the phone mentioned that for some reason my order did not go thorugh yet and she now needs to complete the order.
Oh no!! exactly the same tactics as I read on some other forums - to avoid Quidco payout after 4 months.
I asked het not to "touch" my order at all, and told her that I will manage it myself.
Rang the 0870 number again and was told that the SIM is already on its way, however "for some reason" the porting did not go thorugh. I was told that the SIM will have a new number and I will have to call the "connections" team to get my old number ported mannually.
Can someone help me with the following queries. I am sorry if I sound a bit angry, tehse are excerpts from an email sent to Vodafone.
What should I do now?
Will porting the number by calling VF connections team invalidate my £90 Quidco?
Should I send this SIM back using the 14 day policy and reorder with my PAC again and Pray to Lord that VF port the number this time?
Why didn't the porting go through when I gave the PAC details in the online order?
Why are VF so apt in messing up a simple SIM only order?
Why did I go for Vodafone in the first place?? - I don't know.
T-Mo have launced the same SIM only tariff recently, If VF guys don't sort this out Quickly, I guess I am out of this mess soon.
