What's the longest anyone has had to wait to speak to someone at Voda CS, or any other mobile provider for that matter? The winner gets a bucket of sky... Bucket not inckuded!

To cap things off I'm beginning to forget what I was ringing for!

Me Too!!

Does it say which number you are in the queue?

are you paying for the call?????

I have waited for about 30 minutes before to BT, but 2 hours? I would worry that I am sitting there and something has gone wrong with the call and I actually wasn't in the queue.

Anyone else been on hold for seemingly ages for the phone to go through and then disconnect/give engaged tone? Now that is annoying!

"Sorry for the delay. We'll connect you soon as we can"

I'm going to hear that sentence in my dreams!

Tempted to just stop my direct debit at the bank. I'm sure voda would be ringing me in a flash if I did that!

Trust me, that makes no difference, they are a bit inundated at the moment as there have been tons of people trying to get through during the weekend so it's a bit like a day long rush hour!!

Seriously mate, hang up and re-dial. If you've been on hold for 2 hours then even if there is a queue you're obviously not in it :w00t:
Or call after 6, call centers tend to be quieter then.

Ok, I think you may be calling at the wrong time as I bought a Storm that's I'm trying to send back by Voda's CS are diabolical so I'm going to cancel and think about going to O2 instead. If you go onto Voda's forum you'll see a lot of problems with people trying to get through, it may be best to get through tomorrow first thing unless the hold music has been changed!

ring the sales team first and they will answer straight away to try n get your money then ask to be transferred

works for me

Thanks for the advice folks... I've decided to leave it for a bit before radiation poisoning gets the better of me. Actual time of call was 3hr 47mins. Didn't realise it was that long... Time flies when you're having fun!

Tried emailing them a week ago... No reply. The last time I did get a reply they told me to ring... Oh the irony!

In other news, I phoned Three earlier today for a bit of help with a technical problem with my phone. I'd been a bit of a spaz and locked myself out of it by entering my PIN wrong too many times. The call went like this:

Ring ring.
Hi, automated annoying woman here. Please press a sequence of digits on your phone.
Thank you for pressing a sequence of digits. Now, since you have a technical problem, please reinstall your SIM. This solves 90% of problems. Take a few moments to do this, an if problems persist, please call back.
...
...
...
Ah, had you going there, didn't I? Press another digit now, and we'll put you through to tech support.
[insert the sound of a phone making half a ring here, interrupted by a chap in India picking up)
"Hi, I've broken my phone"
"Blah blah blah"
"Blah blah blah"
"Blah blah blah"
"Blah blah, thanks, that's excellent."

The entire call took no more than five minutes. I love Three. They've got fantastic customer service.

Wow, your lucky, I never had that much luck with them unfortunately. About the only thing we were able to communicate on was Eastenders, they weren't exactly to helpful when dealing with my handset fault although this was when the best they did was Motorola Bricks!

I've just had an email from Jon @ the Vodafone forum looking into my earlier post on the forum! Maybe it's worth you going down that route by having a mini rant, seems to have worked for me!! :)

King & Cassie Thanks for the gigle there... I think I needed that to stop me from hitting something!

Another day another phone call... Getting a bad feeling already & I've only been waiting 20 minutes so far!

Tried the email but no reply as yet - to be fair I only sent it last night. Also, I'm banned from Voda-pony forums for my last erm... rant!

And waiting...

Still waiting... Are they all lying deadon teir desks having been subjected to knock out gas?!?
#32
This isn't funny anymore...

Searched the forums and got back on - my ban must have run out :whistling:

Can't begin to count the number of people losing their rag with VodaPony CS waiting times!
#33
I've never had to wait more than 5 mins for Voda, CS wise they're by far the best network I've been on other than Orange in their heyday (i.e. pre-France Telecom takeover) - worst is without a doubt O2. But then I think the "teething" problems on the Blackberry Storm are giving Voda a severe CS headache at the mo. But that's what they get for advertising the thing every 5 minutes and then shipping it woth borked firmware.

EDIT: Still could be worse - http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=12186 :giggle:

Storm in a teacup then eh, megalomaniac?!?

Why on earth do VodaPony insist on releasing handsets before testing them thouroughly so often. The C905 I sent had umpteen problems. If we the customer are in effect doing the testing for them why aren't we earning?!? Eh? Eh? Answer that one! :whistling:

In fact I might suggest it when I finally get through cos they're always really responsive aren't they? Heheh :p

Yeah that's what Orange used to do, thoroughly check the phones before shipping them (along with putting their own software on). That's why phones took a lot longer to come out on Orange. To be fair on Voda though none of the other networks test handsets much either. If you think about it, it's really the handset manufacturers job. So in this case it's RIM and SE that have dropped the ball and Voda that are suffering the consequences. People wouldn't shout at the BBC because their TV didn't work now would they :giggle:.

I'm after a new phone myself, this K800i is looking rather old and battered. I think I'll hang on till Voda get their act together. I have a problem in that T-Mobile coverage is **** where I am, Orange and O2 will never darken my phone again after their screw ups and well that pretty much leaves 3 or Voda. If you think Voda at the mo is bad......O2 sold my g/f's details and signed her up to a new contract without permission, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
#37
Selling details and new contracts doesn't sound too healthy!

With respect to your point on testing by manufacturers though, Sony, Nokia or whoever else for that matter make the phones and sell them to Voda - or others - and it's Voda in this case that put their software on them. You can't really blame Sony etc for that.

They worked when they were passed to the carrier, and if VodaPony insist on having their own branding and s/w on them it's down to them to develop AND test it. If I tried to run a blu-ray DVD on a CD player I wouldn't get far... I'd get laughed at, but I wouldn't get far!!! :whistling:

So I'm sorry to disagree but I do believe that Voda et al should test their software strnuously before packing it up and sending it out to the customer who pays them for the privelige of saving them money!

So ner! :p

On a lighter note... I got through!

LOL, point taken  Although I thought Voda just added the branding ****, Vodafone LIVE! etc.? I wouldn't have thought that would cause too much hassle?
