Me too, downloading now. 818.70Mb so best to do over WiFi if you're on a tight data plan :D
#2
Just got my notification. I rely alot on my phone for business so don't want to rush in right yet.

If anybody is more of a man than me.... it would be great to hear your experiences with it. oO
#3
Is anyone else facing issues with the back button of the SU6. Occassionally apps close automaticaly and google opens which is becoming very annoying.
#4
I've just installed. Feels sluggish and my battery stats are going mental
#5
Working great here. I use Nova Launcher, but everything seems just as fast, if not faster, than before. I wiped the cache partition afterwards, which I do periodically anyway.
#6
Surprised they didn't skip it and go straight to Nougat.

If possible please do factory reset but You need make backup because it wipe all your data.
#8
Mine feels the same speed wise, battery is stable, running on Android 6.0.1.
Yeah agree with the comment about Nougat but we never know that might come soon as well :p keep up the good work Vodafone :3

So, I grew a pair and did the upgrade.

I deleted at the cache partition and remove the app cache from (settings -> internal storage). I realise these are probably one and the same thing.

However, stupidly i forgot to remove the SD card during the upgrade. There seems to be a big issues with the upgrade procedure for large SD cards.
The system stated it was corrupt.

In the end i had to mount it on a PC, copy all the data across. Re-mount it in the phone and format it.
Then copy the data back across that was on the PC.

Hope that helps someone.

So far it is running fast.

does it wipe all your data and apps out? Only my Mum has this phone and took her months to get her head around lollipop and getting it how she wants it. I suspect there isnt any real need for her to update (she's 70!). Same for my brother who has one and isnt tech savvy on android phones.
#11
Thanks for letting me know. I'm updating now.
#12
well shpock not working and wants me to format SD card wish I left it as it was

I'm also having issues with all my apps that had data linked with my sd card. Also almost every app i try needs to be run as if running for the first time i.e. logging in to accounts, accepting terms etc.

Think i'm going to factory reset my phone and start from fresh.............What a pain! :(

I wouldn't bother as i can't see any major improvements from before, just a few tweaks here and there

I have downloaded the MM update as for battery life it seems similar to LP but users need to allow a couple of days for the battery to settle down. And another tip after updating to MM turn off the phone and go into recovery by pressing Volume + and the Power button at the same time and when the "Powered by Android" screen appears release the Power button then using the Volume down button go down to Clear Cache Partition and then press the Power button and the following screen will ask you do you want to Wipe Cache use Volume down to highlight Yes and then press the Power button then another screen pops up with Reboot System Now already highlighted just press the Power button and the phone reboots, this process solves a lot of problems after updating firmware including sorting out heavy battery usage.

Sounds like a top tip..... Wish I'd known about this before my issues..... Would this have sorted the SD card data issues?
I've factory reset my phone now and reinstalled everything I really wanted....... I now feel cleansed X)
I must also admit the update has made a vast....... Perhaps not vast but a good improvement to my SU6. I love the new file manager, my battery life is better, the 'do not disturb' function is a great function for me as I work shifts, so making it easier for me to adapt my settings. Can't say for sure if it charges quicker as its been too soon but overall I'm glad I've done it....... Yes it was a total hassle and probably took 4 hours or so to sort (as this is the first phone I've not rooted so can't use titanium backup) but I actually enjoy 'playing' and it gave me something to do on my 12 hr night shift :p I used a free app called super backup off Google play which made it easier to get my phone back to the way I like it :3

Update..... after a full day of using my phone I've discovered my phone is suffering from the dreaded Android OS / Android System battery drain :(
Both things are using double the battery percentage compared to what my screen is using. Googled some possible fixes but just wondered if someone had some first hand experience if sorting this issue?

Things I've tried....

Total battery used until phone powers off then fully charged again = no difference

10 minutes ago I disabled 'back up my data' so I'll see if that makes any difference

Do you by any chance have the Facebook app installed this has been causing excessive battery drain. It will take a few days for battery usage to stabilise.

Yeah got that installed. I had it installed prior to upgrade and never had any issues? The battery stats show its the Android OS & Android System that's causing the drain. Disabling the 'backup my data' doesn't seem to have made any difference :(
#22
Will delete the Facebook app now see if it does actually make a difference but not holding my breath. Will update later. Cheers

Clearing the Cache may help in reducing the heavy battery issues you are having.

Looks like it's done the trick :D
My battery has only lost 5% over the last few hours with limited use. Prior to clearing the cache it was dropping 10-15% an hour with no use.
Phewww..... Glad it seems to be sorted 8)

Happy to hear your issue is sorted now. Did you delete the Facebook app? If so has that made any difference with the battery.

I did delete it yes, at the same time as I wiped the cache.
The battery is now spot on, it was fully charged at 11am this morning, I've been using my phone on and off all day and as I type this now the battery is still at 60% :)
So I'm not going to tempt fate and reinstall it, I didn't use it that much anyway (unlike my Mrs who lives on it :P)
So I'm really happy with my phone again and glad it's now working top notch on Marshmallow 8)

After updating I found that adoptable storage is not an option, very disappointing.

I'm now left with less usable space than I originally had because MM won't let me install apps to the SD card becase this is now solely a removable media storage (unless I'm missing an option somewhere)

I am not responsible if you damage your phone or memory card.....

I managed to find a workaround to use my SD card as internal storage

I needed:
1) "ADB Installer v1.4.3"

2) This guide: http://www.modaco.com//news/android/heres-how-to-configure-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632/

I ran into this problem: "adb shell error device unauthorized" but it just needed to authorise the access from my PC on the mobile.

Use friendly app instead of Facebook. 8mb vs 350mb!

Thanks for the info.

Can I ask what specifically you mean by 'needed to authorise the access from my PC on the mobile'?

Many thanks

Initially the phone was rejecting the PC connection. I just needed to confirm on the phone (it was a pop-up window) that the connection to the PC was from a legitimate source.

Marshmallow OTA update for Vodafone Smart Ultra Six failed
Options

I tried updating it using OTA several times. The update of 818.70MB downloads and allows an install .

Boots into recovery menu, with the following error message:

"/system/partner-app/Editors Slides/Editors Slides.apk" has unexpected contents.
E:Abnormal exit, path: @/cache/recovery/block.map, status: 7
Installation aborted

I have factory reset my phone multiple times, wiped the cache but has not made any difference

Can anyone help?

Has anyone had a similar problem, and knows about a solution?

Sounds like you've not got a phone thats not fully 'stock' is it rooted or flashed?

If you flash it to stock 5.1.1 it will probably work - Good luck

It is absolutely stock. Not rooted, flashed or anything.
It is on 5.1 already

How is your battery life now since you cleared the cache and removed the Facebook app? I'm getting around 45 minutes more SOT on Marshmallow than I did on Lollipop that could be the Doze feature that's helping. Also have you noticed a slight improvement in performance, to me it seems snappier in opening apps.
