Vodaphone Porting question.

I've just received a new Mobile from CNM on Vodaphone (First time I've tried Vodaphone) and I received my PAC from 3 Network yesterday. I phoned up Vodaphone to give them the PAC and they said I cannot port my number over, it should have been done at the point of sale. It was not an option.
Ummmmm, this sounds rather odd to me. I've ported numbers to O2, Orange, T-Mobile and 3 without any probs in the past.
Is this the 'norm' with Vodaphone?
Now I know why I've never used them before and why I'll not use them again.

edit:-
Oooops, just checked. It was Mobileoutlet NOT CNM:-

Hi Steve

I got my Vodafone contract back in september, and as far as Im aware what you've experienced is im afraid vodafone, same happened with my but I just accepted it.

Despite this, I think you should give Vodafone a chance! I hope you opted for their 'Stop the clock' feature. This is an amazing feature, where you can talk to any network/landline for up to 60mins but only 3mins come out of your bundle.

Eg, talk on the phone for 120mins and only 6 mins come out of your bundle. Just hang up in 57 mins and redial!

Also good reception, and customer service straight from your mobile is free of charge and I think open 24hours which is a bonus.

Downside is that picture messaging does not use 3 sms from your bundle like O2, it takes 33p ish :(

Hope this helps!

Also I noticed you made 4000 posts - well done

Thank for the reply Deal4Me
I'm very disappointed with either CNM or Vodaphone or both. All I received was a Sim card and Mobile. No booklet, nothing written down.:x
Thanks for the info on 'stop the clock', I'll be looking into this.

I'm now after another Mobile so I can Port my number over and then divert the calls to the Vodaphone mobile.:x :x :x :x

I think the 4,000 mark came up last night. Thanks  :-D :-D

No problem.

What shop is CNM?

All you received is a mobile and sim?? :|

Was it a contract or pay as you go?

Omg then it is absolutely unacceptable that you just received a mobile and sim!

The more I think about this the more sick I am.
I tried to phone CNM but the phone number just kept ringing. I'll try again on Monday.
