Voting Cold...please give reasons?

When people vote HOT they usually write why but cold voters aren't as forthcoming. I think this is a Hot Deal but it's on a minus...not a lot but enough to make me wonder why. Please if anyone voted cold could you say why you did as I'd really like to order one for my mum.

For all you know one person voted it cold.

As stated in the post it's probably because they believed it had already been posted 5 times before.

Why have you started a seperate thread and not replied to the original? now there are 6 threads about it.

Please don't get hung up about cold votes, new deals are posted, people vote cold, over time the truth will out if it's a good deal it will warm up quickly.

Too much concern over a silly lttle bar, just get rid I say. What's hot to one is cold to another.

I think people often vote cold because it's been posted before. Unfair, I think, as it puts people off posting deals and there seems to be less and less deals being posted.

Really? I don't understand how it works.

Don't buy because of perceived "heat". If you like it, and you think it's a good price, use the advanced search and see if you can find anything similar.

If it's the cheapest you can find, buy it. simple.

Too many people get hung up about their deal reaching scorching hot temperatures, it means nothing. :)

But it hadn't been posted before. And I did reply to the original one but got no answer back. I also didn't know there were more threads about it...I can't seem to find them.

It is the cheapest but I don't have any experience of the website and thought it was voted cold for a good reason.

People will vote cold for any and every "Reason" they choose, my advice is the same whether you are new, or been here since inception.

There is no criteria for voting. People will vote cold because they

A. Don't like the product.
B Don't like the Retailer.
C. Don't like the person who found the deal.
D. It was cheaper 6 months ago.
E. It will be cheaper in 6 months time.
F. They are inebriated.
G. Not available at their local store.
H. They haven't read the deal properly.
I.
J.

You get my drift. Some even vote cold because it can be purchased cheaper, but they're in the minority. :)

I agree that people should be stating why they vote something cold cos I have been getting really peeved of late when i see things that are obviously good deals but people for UNKNOWN reasons are voting them cold. The problem then arises when situations that scabbers has come across that they are put off the deal because of all the cold ratings given, they believe it to be a problem item.

So what's the point of having a voting system at all if people shouldn't take notice of it?

The site is called Hot UK Deals.

Having a voting system based on "Heat" is it's main thing that gets people in the doors.

I never said that people shouldn't take notice of it, I am just trying to give you advice of how best to make use of the site.

Deciding by the "Heat" is in my opinion the last factor when deciding on a purchase. Learning how to use the "Advanced Search" on here will serve you better.

Well at least you gave a reason. I have taken note of your reason and decided it's not a good enough one to put me off buying the product ;-)
