Well done to everyone who got involved, as the title says she's now "The People's Aircraft". Please keep the money flowing and keep your eyes on the website. Also put a date in the diary as we're all in for a treat during this years display season and hopefully many more to come. Cheers to all. http://www.vulcantothesky.org/

I hardly think that a nuclear bomber, which would kill tens of thousands if not millions of people, had it carried out it's primary role can qualify as the "peoples aircraft" more like the "people destroying aircraft". The sooner these unwelome relics are turned into cutlery the better. A period in modern history to forget, not to celebrate.:x:x:x ( takes a breath)

Inspiring the Young

There are well over 10 million young people who have never seen the Vulcan in flight. Following the success of the Pledge Campaign, these youngsters now have an opportunity to experience this inspirational "once seen, never forgotten" sight. ;-)

How many more would have died ( On all sides ) if the nuclear bomb had NOT been used.

God bless her I say.

War is not a nice thing in anybodies language, but anything that speeded up the ending of it, the better for me.

Very well said, my thoughts exactly. Just didn't want to get to heated. Some people just see anything of this sort as a complete negative if linked to WAR in any way.
