Walt DisneyWorld Resort Florida ticket advice.

Hi all

Looking at going to Florida for the 1st time later this year (probably staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort).

We are looking at flying out on a Sunday & returning 2 1/2 weeks later on a Wednesday.

My questions are:

- If we bought the "Disney's 14 Day Ultimate Ticket" when would the 14 days start from / finish?

- Would there be any problem staying in a Disney Resort for the few days we didnt have a ticket?

Cheers for any advice!

It would start from the first time you use it, and you will have plenty to do!!

We had a 14 day ticket, must have spent 4 days in Florida Mall though!! plus a day at Clearwater.

Was still worth getting the 14 day pass though so we could hop between parks etc. etc.

Yeah it is definately worth getting the 14 days just for the flexibility. Although I don't think you will use all the days. As mentioned above the ticket starts first time you use them.

I don't think there would be a problem staying in the resort and not having a ticket, you would only need the tickets for entering the parks.

Oh and make sure you do the Universal Parks, they are great :-D

No problems staying at Disney hotel for the days you don't have a ticket. You just can't go in the parks.

your pass wont expire ikt runs out when uve used the 14days at the park

so if u only use 8 days this trip you will have 14 days u can use next time u go!!

That used to only be true if you bought a Magic Your Way ticket. If you buy the 14 day ticket, only available in the UK, they expire 14 days after their first use.

That was the case the last 2 times I went, I admit that I am not up to date with the current situation as I can't afford to go again so I stay away from the Trip Advisor forum now.

There will be very little difference between the price of a 14 day or 21 day pass. And the hotel won't mind if you just want to stay there. Its not an offence not to go to the parks when you are a guest in them.

BTW... have a look at www.thedibb.co.uk which'll give you the best advice going.

It would be £156 difference between the 14 & 21 day ticket for us (Whick aint bad for an extra week).

However we would only be able to use 2 days of that extra weeks ticket so thinking of putting the £156 towards Universal Tickets & visiting there on the last couple of days.

If you stay in the resort itself you have access to all the parks for the duration of stay. Is this not included where you are staying

Oh btw discovery cove is a must

And I would highly recommend Victoria and Alberts http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdwi/en_GB/dining/diningDetail?id=VictoriaandAlbertsDiningPage

Unfortunately staying in the resort does not get you access to the parks. You do have to buy the ticket seperately  http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/

Victoria & Alberts looks very nice but dont think I'll be taking the required Dinner Jacket with me.

I'd just make the place look untidy anyway......
