Hi, am looking for some ps3 advice, I have purchased my son the ps3/move deal from amazon and am thinking of buying him an extra controller is it better to buy an extra normal one or an extra move type one? I am quite stupid when it comes to techie things, and would normally ask him any techie questions, but since I want it to be a surprise I cant.
Can anyone suggest some games that are exclusive to ps3 as he also has an xbox 360 and has alot of games for that, so don't want to duplicate.

I'd probably get him an extra normal controller (dualshock3) so he can play normal games with his mates (FIFA11... presuming he likes football). Update:Just read that he's got a 360, in that case he might want the second part of the move controller - navigation controller.

As for exclusives Uncharted 1&2 is a must. Depending on how old he is, maybe Heavy Rain as that can use the playstation move, as can MAG (a shooter).

I don't own the move pack myself but I think the move controllers work with move compatible games only therefore you might be better off buying an additional original (6 axis) controller but it really depends on the games he'll be playing. Regarding ps3 exclusives, the best games are the brilliant Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4, all of which are Platinum titles which can be picked up new for around £15. Not knowing the age of your son however you might want to check suitability first. Hope this helps and goodluck!

There aren't too many game out for the Move at the mom so I'd but an extra "normal" controller so he can go two player with his mates. Don't forget Little Big Planet (new one due out soon too)

You're very welcome. I'm considerably older than 17 & I find some 3+ titles entertaining, so don't really base your purchasing on the suggested (advisory, not legally-enforceable [yet]) game ratings for the content.

Equally, my kids play titles that are classified at ages higher than they are old, but if I have not played the titles myself I monitor the content whilst they play.

All this aside, have you decided what to buy?

Think I will go for a normal controller, Killzone 2, the uncharted ones, infamous, sports champions and the lord of the rings one, is there a difference between platinum versions and normal versions of the games? Sorry one more question, do I need to get him a headset like he has on the xbox?
thanks in advance

No too sure about the difference between the platinum or no platimum versions. But, does he go online and talk threw the headset with his xbox? I know you do pretty much the same thing with the PS3 so maybe he would like that too?

Only the cover/disc artwork. Personally, I hate the look of them, but the game is exactly the same.

You don't have to, but if he wants to talk to anyone he will need one.
The official Sony one is usually £18 - £20, but you can use any bluetooth headset.

Other than the design of the box, none whatsoever. Platinum is basically just a budget re-release of games that sold well ("400,000 total worldwide sales after generally one year on the market" according to Wikipedia).
