I'm in need of waste oil, just wondering whether anyone with a business / or individual who is in and around the Bristol area has some oil they can supply me?

I can give a receipt (if you want) as I have my own card from the environmental agency

Thank you =]

Someone I know gets his from local restaurants etc. Dont think he pays. I just assumed they would be glad to get it taken away.

Your mate obviously didn't do the right research into it and prepare his car properly.

OP are you just going to filter and wash or are you making B100?

I could give you around 30-40 litres per month but I'm in Glasgow ?

It only works with older diesels engines, put it in a newer type and it will not run.

People pay for used vegetable oil.

B100 will work in any diesel engine

also it's not the age of the engine that is important it what type of fuel pump is fitted and whether the engine can handle the viscosity of the veg oil without heating it.

Some older engines with Bosch pump are naturally suited but a modern engine can be adapted to run on veg oil.

I am making B100, I have a fuel processor.
Most will run it (im running it on a skoda fabia 2005 atm)

Newer cars (05 +) seem to have Common Rail engines , or a DPF (diesel particulate filter) which im trying to look into and see if there's a work around them!

Till then, i need some oil!

In that case my suggestion can't be a bad one, I am sure if you offered them money and they were giving it to someone else for nothing, as the highest bidder you'd be in there. Just think of it as being cheaper than buying the oil fresh in a 10 litre barrel and a lot less than diesel at the pumps :)

This is what people are willing to pay for used veg oil...40p a litre

ebay Item number: 220712178107

as long as there is a reseller market like this, you will find it very hard getting it for free....not impossable, but a fair bit of foot slogging required.

why would anyone give this for free.

Why not ?

Because they need to pay a licenced waste firm to take it away and despose of it in a proper manner...so to some business who aren't getting paid for it, giving it away is the best option.
