Warning about SAVASTORE

i would not buy anything from these guys ever again, i ordered 5 of the Belkin Regulator Pro 350VA UPS when they had them in stock only to be told i would only be getting one(but they are charging me shipping for 5 units), waited 13 days for that one to arrive and before it did arrive i canceled it, only for it to arrive damaged so i refused it, now they have refunded me the cost of the unit but are refusing to refund me the overpriced shipping, getting hold of them on the phone impossible and they are not answering emails.
So a big warning to other members to avoid savastore at all costs :x

Mod Edit: Thanks for the warning but I've moved it to a more appropriate forum. We try to keep the "Hot Deals" forum for Hot Deals.

Are they still charging you shipping for 5 units? and they won't refund that amount? I'd call Trading Standards or somewhere on that...

yes they are trying to charge me shipping for 5 units, i sent them a warning email on the 9th of this month giving them 4 hours to reply otherwise i would be placing a warning posting here and that i would be then contacting visa and requesting a refund from them. It is now the 11th so 2 days have passed without a reply from them so my next call will be to visa or the trading standards.

Definitely. Dispute the charge on your cc and also contact trading standards. And remember, document everything. time of phone calls, time of letters posted, registered post etc. I can't see why they are being so strange about it. I think they're a fairly reputable company.

I bought a monitor from savastore and i contacted them beforehand to ask if it had a dvi cable, to which they replied no it doesn't come with one, so i bought one

yes you're guessed it, it had a fixed dvi cable, idiots. Not impressed. If they don't know about their products, how does the customer stand a chance?

Sorry to hear you've had problems with them. I've been as lucky with SavaStore as I have with eBuyer, not had any real problem with either.

With the DVI thing, I think it's always a good idea to look at the manufacturer's website if possible, to check what's in the box or full specification. That's not always an easy thing either, with many products being produced under licence and re-badged.

Guess you could put the DVI cable in for sale or trade maybe...

after a week (not joking) they approved the RMA

it cost be about 2.50 to send back as well, bah!

Hmm... sounds like they've changed, their customer service has been very good in the past.

also, when my dad picked the monitor up, he had to wait ages, like 45 minutes

that's about everything i think... :)
