Was down a market last weekend and there was a stall selling these fake n95 8 gig's

and other model's sony ericssons etc

this is just a little head's up as there are plenty of these being sold on ebay - so one day one or two may find its way on here and there getting harder to spot as they used to use real scud names on them like NOKLA but now they are trying to make them as close to the genuine thing

there are a few give away's being able to use an sd card as well as the internal memory is one of them + sometimes you really wouldnt no untill you went to update it etc

The battery life seems pretty authentic, anyway.

Thats just for one of the N95 clones around, surely some are better than this though at hiding their cloneness? After all the giveaways are minor cosmetic things that can be easily changed.

i brought a fake nokia n95 8gb thinking its a genuine nokia from ebay. i brought it for £250. when i got the phone i straight away knew it was a fake version. i contacted the seller and told him to refund my money straight away and that im going to report him to ebay and police. he gave me my money back plus another extra £250 so i dont report him to police. i returned the phone back.

Thanks for the heads up on these.

Funny coincidence I had seen an N95 on Ebay this morning with a 3mp camera..thought to myself they ain't 3mp but 5 mp originally..So much for Ebay 'trying' for a better word to combat fakes and counterfeit goods.
