not too sure how true or untrue this is but this popped up on a friends wall so thought i'd share - While on Facebook, look at your URL address; if you see http: instead of https: then you don't have a secure session and you can be hacked. Go to Account|Account Settings|Account Security and click Change then Click save. Check at least the first setting, FB defaults to the non-secure setting.

HTTPS is only as secure as the host computers either side of it. If the computer that is decrypting the web page/data is open to attack then the secured bit of encypting is pointless. In other words if you dont protect your computer as well then it doesnt matter that the page you ae veiwing is secured or not.

It stopped all my apps working, blocking Farmville, Frontierville and other such wastes of my time. Had to go unsecuring it again!

According to Snopes its only really an issue if you are using a public shared wifi, otherwise not really important. Wont cause any problems and better safe than sorry, but is unneccessary scare-mongering

you shouldn't put sensitive info on your facebook anyways, https is mainly used for payments, or sites that do have sensitive info such as paypal.
