Okay, so over the past few nights ive been having several wasps flying in my room, so ive just been outside and there seems to be a wasp next in one of the foundation vents, lots and lots of wasps flying in and out every second. So how can i get rid of it?

any local fishermen????? they usually get them out for free (as I believe they use the larvae as bait)

would be a free option, otherwise I believe the council sometimes remove them, If not then go down the local route :)

Don't try and bargain with them - you'll probably get stung.

unless you are experienced in dealing with wasps, never attempt to destroy a colony yourself. If you find a nest, keep well away. There can be several thousand workers in a fully-formed colony and ALL OF THEM CAN STING! It is far more sensible, and safer, to call in an expert. Contact your Local Council or a reputable pest-control firm or consultant.

or go get some powder/foam from shops and d.i.y sounds like fun

Wait until they are all in bed for the night...Then nuke them.
Tha powder seems to work better than the sprays.

HA

What you need to do

Get a bee suite, 4 cans of wasp spray, vaseline yourself up, take a deep breath, go in the lounge sit down, pick up the phone, ring local exterminator, relax.

Let them get stung not you.

Think smart

Block the vents into your room. Phone council, they should get rid of them for free.

Put your head in and say 'BOO'. That'll do it.

Not sure if i should offer a serious answer lol, no one else has :)
Ring your local Environmental Health dept through your local council's switchboard
They will send someone out to look and possibly clear
Did this last year, was about £30 i think.

Oh i give up with this place. I can never tell anymore what is real and what isn't. I don't read enough posts lol. Who's Clive?
Sorry, forget my advice, get a road cone or other similar shaped device, and yes, shout boo.
The cone (or similar) will help make your voice sound more threatening and for sure they'll all fly away :)

Alternatively.........hold a screwdriver in left hand in the vent.......then proceed to stick right hand with screwdriver into plug socket and electrocute them. :-D

Errrrr, 'cos it's a vent.
Not a very good idea to block up a vent.

i am aware of these facts, thats why i was being sarcastic, although i understand its difficult to pick up on sarcasm through text

!st hand knowledge went in my shed friday to get the lawnmower out and there are about 10wasps in there looked about and there a nest the size of a football in the top left hand corner, So as a good computer guy straight in house google it , same answer as you already had my council wanted 54.oo quid so thats out, I am a fisherman and yes they do make cracking chub bait but I am not keen on getting stung to mess about with the nest, so plan 3 b anq foam wasp nest killer 3.99 coat tuck socks in hood up googles gloves and do it yourself you can spray it from six foot away I would get really close to the air brick and fill it in. dead wasps. plan four get wife girlfriend do it say you have turned into a buddhist and cant kill another living creature. good luck ps Inever got stung
