I was just wondering if you could get any dvd players that upscale your image so you can watch dvds in full screen? Im fed up of about half my screen being black.. I thought the tv i had was 'true widescreen' so it wouldnt be so bad :(

With some it is simply changing the aspect. I hate the black bars too.

This works, but the problem is that it cuts off some of the picture. I have often found that I am missing something that is happening just off screen. I have to be quick on the remote to change the aspect.

Thats what it does. To remove the bars, it has to strech the image. Another way of removing the bars is to cut of parts of the left and right image, ie zooming in.

The xbox 360 expands the image so there's no black bars!

yes but you lose some of the picture. there is NO way around this. Just turn your lights off and you wont see the black bars

should have bought a 42" for the same money then you would have a much bigger picture regardless of black bars ;-)

1080p is a waste of money on a 32" tv unless you sit 2 foot away from it
