Watching video on PC - help!!

Can anyone help? I have downloaded a couple of films lately, when I watch them on my PC wether its through Nero or Windows Media Player the sound is 'ahead' of the picture?? any suggestions??

use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)

plays everything. no messing around with codecs.

With VLC you can also sync the audio with the video by altering the timings.

Right gonna be cheeky now, not content with watching on my PC, best software to use to burn to a DVD R, that will play on most DVD players???

The best is Nero. Best but not the cheapest.
