Daunt makes no bones about his dislike of Amazon. "They never struck me as being a sort of business in the consumer's interest. They're a ruthless, money-making devil."
Waterstones have missed a big opportunity by not offering re-badged Nooks....you can buy a kindle anywhere and people won't pay Waterstones prices
Its also strange how yesterdays observor were reporting how Daunt was saying their ebook reader would be "different from Amazon - and better"

As gari says why would anyone go there for one over the numerous other retailers. A nook would have at least been unique
Sony are grossly overpriced (both their ereaders and ebooks) so you can write them off. Looks like the e-ink readers will be a fight between Kobo and Amazon.
