is this a gay thread?

No lol, I am not gay. I was just wondering if anyone had done it, and if it's a viable alternative to shaving.

Plucking / waxing...viable... on your whole face?!..no lol. I've had threading above beard line and between eyebrows a couple of times though.

Plucking would take too long (good for spiders legs though). Can't imagine waxing being fun.

laser treatment above beard line only, doing your eyebrows makes you look like a cross dresser/ gay, no offence lads but ..threading your eyebrows? You don't need it.. unless you look like http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTKHfVtaJ4_McMrJffLoK4U-iOKJSTsK1X-Jjh-y19MRHHIS8zKVQ this

Do they really do that on beards? I have my doubts they would.

Lol! My husband wondered the same thing. Ever willing to inflict pain on him - i offered to assist in a bid to help him make up his mind. i was soooo disappointed - i only managed about 10-15 hairs before he submitted and out came the Gillette!
Thanks for the pic from yeahbutitsnotfree - that proper made me LOL! :)

Husband now and again plucks between his eye brows, He isnt brave enough to wax.

I get my eye brows waxed.

But I wouldnt like to think of having the thickness of hair plucked from a beard if I had one?

plucking face - u mean using a face epilator? painful but cant see why not

That's the most ridiculous thing i've ever read! Why don't you pluck your face and then let us know how you got on?...

I had my eyebrows threaded yesterday at debenhams.

Plenty of treatments available at boots and debenhams.

Also try your local college.

Just shave, lazy bones!:p

Mens facial hair is way too course for waxing and you would be there over an hour plucking! Threading is good as DLM mentions but you would have to be going back each week for treatments, although you can do it your self.

But lets face it, men couldn't cope with the pain for beauty rituals that us woman have to go through!

I keep trying to get my fella to let me have a go with my epilator, he won't let me though! I think he draws the line at letting me pluck the centre of his brows! :p

Can't see why you couldn't man up and give it a go though! ;) I suppose OP you're looking for something a bit longer lasting than shaving, or just a change?

I didn't expect all these responses. :p

Yes, I was looking for something that would last longer than shaving. I actually had plucking with tweezers in mind originally lol, rather than using an epilator. I had never considered threading though. How would that compare to waxing or plucking?

You could buy a proper shaver instead of a disposable one. I find them much smoother and nicer to use.

If you epilated your face, would it not go really red?
#20
It would still have to be done daily though. I would have thought that the rredness would only be temporary, and eventually go.

Well waxing is the quickest but most painful, also hard to get into dimples etc. Plucking time consuming. Threading the least painfull but strange sensation, good for large areas and the results last quite well.

I use an epilator on my legs, it does last longer than shaving, but the ad's saying it lasts 4 weeks (or even close to) is utter rubbish, for me anyway. I need to do it twice a week, so its not too bad.. saves time over shaving each day I guess.
I tend to do it in the evening because it does go red and leaves them resembling a plucked chicken (nice!).
Ive never heard of them being used on your face, although you must be able to because some come with a tiny attachment for use on smaller areas inc the tasche! Curiosity getting the better of me now.. must Google blokes using it on their face!

You cant pluck one by one though surely!??

what would be the point?
i did try that hair removal cream once that hurt lol

I had never had it done before and I am happy with the results.

They look really neat.

It was the 1st time they were tidied by a man as well and I got 39 beauty points :)
