Hi
Thinking of getting some concert tickets off ebay but user has not used site much in last year and i know sometimes people can hijack someone elses details.
Is there something i can ask him on ebay that would try and clarify if this is genuine or not.
Thanks

The seller will have funds locked until you leave feedback for the item so i think you will be covered.

hmmm I see, I reckon just buy them and pay via paypal you should be ok, anything goes wrong you can put a paypal claim in, dont worry too much, good luck and have a nice time at the concert:thumbsup:

A different twist on mario33's suggestion:

You can send him a message saying that you'll come pick them up. If he replies with some excuse as to why that's not possible, stay away. If he emails back and says that's fine, buy them and send a follow up message saying can you post them because I can't come pick them up any more.

Just to let you know even if the seller was not genuine, and took your money... you would be protected. The seller always takes the hit in the end.

Just like if you have a credit card stolen and reported fraud it will always be the shops that take the loss.

I actually had someone purchase my item with a stolen credit card and a hijacked account once. The item for sale was a mobile phone, and because he had perfect feedback I had no idea the persons account had been hacked into, and because it was a mobile phone i sent it recorded delivery like you would do... and by the time they had received the phone the money had been reversed out of my paypal account. Luckily i had transfered the money into my bank account by then but my paypal balance was now like -£170.00. I ended up having to close my account because paypal would not take into consideration that it was not my fault.

In conclusion paypal are rubbish to deal with, i would always go with bank transfers or even better cash on collection. Hope this helped!
