But he has never been in a car before and get's car sick.
The vet say's he may grow out of it. We are taking him out in the car for little rides now and again. Has anyone else got a car sick dog?. Any advice on what to do?.

We had a dog that never grew out of being car sick. None of the 'remedies' worked. It was something that we (& the dog) just grew to accept.

Try making sure that when you put the dog in the car for a very short time that something fun happens like a walk or play Also try feeding them in the boot so that the car becomes a good place too be helped my boys

Hope Toby grows out of it.
We have bought this big sheet thing that clips on the head rests of the front seats and the head rests of the back ones.

We have been doing that, there is always a treat at the end. ie, big run on the beach etc (only a 5 min drive away). He isnt frightened of the car. He jumps in quite happily, and sits wagging his tail.
Am reluctant to give him something to chew incase it upsets his tummy more.

see if your dog is sick in the back of a van with no windows, if not then you can try to darken the windows of your car so doggie cant see out and cause the motion sickness,

dont feed before the car journey(difficult one)

Well, he seems to be getting a bit better. Got to Liverpool on Sunday and half way home before he was sick. So onwards and upwards as they say.
But now, how do you deal with dog farts?.

He is eating Tesco premium tinned dod food, 1 tin aday and half a dish of bakers complete, which he isnt keen on.
Can you recommend some for him to try?.
Many thanks.

My lab was always car sick as a pup but she grew out of it by around 12-14 months.
