I can highly recommend these as I use them
http://www.blacknight.com

Very fast connections, dead simple to setup and never yet had a problem
other than I needed to know how to add an already owned domain name to the hosting package and cuspomer support were really halpful and friendly and replied to my email within minutes and didn';t mind me asking what to them must have seemed simple questions.

Oh they are in Ireland so prices are in Euro's not £'s
Rough conversion €1 = roughly £0.85

I use 5quidhost (Squidhost) as well and I can highly recommend them. Their prices are good and more importantly in my book, their customer service is second to none. With 5quidhost, you can install WordPress directly via the site's control panel which really makes it a one-click task. An ideal host for Joomla sites too, which is what I use them for. I hope that helps you.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but would anyone bother with GoDaddy? I've heard mixed reviews about them but they are quite reasonable price wise.

I've used them for a good few years now. Never had a problem. You can get good deals if you find valid promo codes

Yeah the IT admin at work had a couple from the various newsletters he gets so I was wondering if it was worth trying them! I went with Servage a while back and they were ok but thought it might be worth a change.

Thanks for the info :)
