I use a company called nomonthlyfees.com which is stateside - good bandwidth, infinite email addr, ftp accts, php and mysql databases everything you need.
Standard Acct $70 per annum with free reg of .com .net or .org
Premium £100 per annum
or get a lifetime for £200 one-off
No setup fees and I have found them really reliable.
Not saying they are better than anyone else but certainly worth a look

Thats a bit ambiguous!

What are you hoping to do?

Depending on your real needs, you will get better solutions being suggested.

Now that the discount value has stopped - there will be better options out there.

The netfirms one is very good. $10 for a year with 250GB storage and 2 free domains.

I know thats been posted again in the past week or so.

He he. :p

OK, it doesnt sound from what you have said that you would need vey much space or bandwidth. The netfirms one I mentioned above, will give you a great 1st year offer - but will cost a fortune for what it sounds like you need in subsequesnt years.

Assuming you need a domain name(?), I would recommend buying this seperately to the hosting. This way you can always control it and the site host cant touch it. I would recommend 123-reg.co.uk - but since they messed up the last domain I bought, they are out of favour with me!!!! But they are generally very good and one of the cheapest .co.uk domain sellers.

For your host, 34sp.com is very good. You certainly can find cheaper (or even free) but it sounds like you wll need support and in this area, they are excellent. (Try pinging off an email from their support with a question and see how long it takes to respond. Netfirms takes yonks!!!!)

Simple html pages wont take any space at all and the email form is a doddle which any host can provide.

If you need any templates for your site (assuming youve note got that sorted?), I have several freebies on a site I started almost a year ago but never got round to finishing. www.wassup.biz - Which also contains some useful html and css help.

no not family - will be for customers and potential customers to see what he makes and hopefully then place orders with him. needs to be 'findable' through search engines too but I think he knows how to use 'buzz'???? words for that. In fact - im sure he does but I cant for the life of me remember what they are called

In which case, I would recommend 34sp.com. You need something reliable. Now you are talking about orders, that changes things a little. Do you want to take orders and cash? If you want to process visa etc, then you would need something with SSL. Liquidsix would be good. If your payments are via paypal, then you dont need to worry. the secure servers are handled by Paypal.

A freebie account wont help your ratings and your own domain is a must. (Chosing the right (available) name is quite important in search engine matters.) If you are selling goldfish bowls - then a domain like goldfishbowls.co.uk is likely to get you pole position for someone who has searched for "goldfish bowls". Its not a must - but its a decent tip!

And the "buzz" name you are referring to is "metatags".

I remember metatags now but only cos you said it - id never have got it otherwise.
No need for payments or actually taking orders as it will be done in person. Its just the means to get people to see what he is brilliant at!
