Web Hosting - Options?

I've been with Justhost for the last couple of years. Cheap hosting - i got 2 years for £52, but got £48 Quidco paid back!!).

Anyway, they want me to now pay £7 a month, at least. And for what i get, it's not great. Speeds are pretty poor, but service has been good.

Looking to go with HostPapa, and wondering if anyone has any personal experience? There are lots of great reviews for them.

I host several websites, and need up to 20 mysql db, along with the usual (php, cron, etc).

I think you will struggle to beat it really if you are a developer based on prices alone! (never used it myself though)

I'm not fussed on Unlimited bandwidth and all that jazz, as it wouldn't get used. I often find too that all these unlimited hosting are - well limited. There isn't such thing as unlimited.

Anyone have any other recommendations?

I've used bluehost with no issues for the last year and a half. I don't know how unlimited their unlimited is, I don't host anything that would even begin to push any limits on that but the speed and uptime has been good, millions of features (php, cron etc.), limit of 100 sql databases but pretty much every else (email, ftp accounts, bandwidth) is "unlimited". Think it costs $4.95 (£3.00) a month at the moment if you google for discounts and click through a promotional link.

6 months free, then next 6 @ 8.99 for 6months, works out £4.50 per month over the year. not a bad deal tbh.

Thanks for the opinions and options. Will check them out. It's always hard deciding which host to go with.

Vidahost do a 20 sql database package for £29 a year or £2.99 a month. They are UK based (Bath) and have UK support.

I have been using them for 6 months and most of my clients use them, had no issues and the price is amazing.

I'm with Vidahost and the service is fantastic. Out of the 2 help desk tickets I've raised they were answered within 20min of me submitting.
