Web Security Camera help lol!

Hey all, need s a bit of help. We had a dodgy person around our house and I wanna set up a camera for when im in work.

When I did this last time, all I did was signed into MSN and connected a webcam, what I then did was used msgplus to auto accept requests. So basically I would remote watch my camera while I was in work. It was great, but sometimes MSN messed up.

Is there any other software which does this kind of thing I can use? I have a webcam !

There are quite a few, search on google for them. Gotchanow! is good, think you have to pay for it if you want extra features though.

We used to use Yahoo messenger to do exactly the same thing, I think that there is (or certainly was) an option to auto-accept from friends...

I think you can remote view it, you might need to pay for that part though.

There are loads of other programs, yawcam is one I've used recently which seemed to be ok.

i didnt know you could do that type of thing..watching elsewhere thru msn, quite ingenius!
bet it comes in handy.

but why did you have a dodgy person around the house? sounds eek

Can you improve your physical and passive security? Watching a webcam all day can't be good for your health, nerves, power consumption at home or your personal health if something does happen at home.

By the sounds of things I would move.

To the countryside maybe or a walled comunity. This person must be dodgy as!

Why allow someone dodgy in your house? Or is it a marital?

Have you considered using logmein? Its free and allows you full control of your pc from any other pc connected online, you get a free 30 day trial of the enhanced version too (I think, at least it used to) after which it resorts to the lower version (which I find is more than adequate).

lol, basically, I think we had a chancer come round, luckily we were in when they came round, dont wanna go into too much detail. So I wanna monitor the house for a couple of days . I am prob very paranoid, but thats just me.
