Hey guys,

To keep it short and sweet, i need to buy a couple of webcams, but get totally overwhelmed by the amount out there, and have no-idea which ones are any good and which one aren't.

searching on amazon or play etc is useless as they contain little info, and gives very little indication on how they perform, so i need you help.

Please can u suggest some good ones that you may have or may have used, or suggest nightmare ones to stay away from to narrow down my search a bit more.

Cheers :D

I recommend a Microsoft vx-5000, it gives a very good picture in low light, far better than any other cam I have owned, and a million times better than the one in my laptops lid. it is also focus free, and fits on a desk, lcd or laptop due to a bendy rubber base

Software is simple to install too (they all seem to be much the same) and you will be using it in years to come as microsoft are pretty good at providing drivers. a cheap cam wont be

lots of reviews on youtube taken with the camera
Have you tried ebuyer?

They have lots of reviews on there!

I've been using a couple of old PS2 eyetoy cams on my pc etc. for a few years now. Got them really cheap in a second hand shop (paid £8 for the pair).
Good quality image imo..There are windows drivers available for them on the net.
