Evening Folks...... We're desperately looking to find the perfect wedding venue, we thought we had found it but went there today and didn't like it (it was Belton Park in Lincolnshire), they had a great set price list of £70 per guest which included everything from the food to the drinks to the red carpet and rooms etc....perfect for us.....Everywhere else we have found is WAY over priced.... We have a budget of about £6000 for a Civil Ceromony, Meal, Evening doo, Dress, flowers etc etc.....

Any ideas of nice locations / Hotels in the north east? maybe bridlington or Grimsby?

Anything considered but must be good value for money....

We're also going to look at Oulton Park in Leeds......

yea, not many places will have "all you want" in one place. you may have to scarifice 1 thing for another. Its all about deciding on whats important for YOUR big day

It has the Manners Arms (part of the estate) with 10 rooms and for the other guests the Travel Lodge at Granthem is only 10 mins away and has rooms from £20 and in this credit crunch times might be better for some.

branston hall hotel in lincoln is lovely manor house as is washingborough hall. lovely settings in the grounds and rooms for your guests to stay (also cheap travelodge/holiday inns nearby for those guests who dont want to pay the wedding hotel price) hope this helps - i have heard that the place gareth gates got married (research doh) is gorgeous, it has a small chapel in the grounds where they have ceremonies frequently. think he had a hog roast in the evening. i read about it in the lincolnshire echo - think is was belton or belvoir. the bride got ready in the royal rooms and he got married in the room where they stay when they go hunting or summat - mite be worth looking into??
