any know of any car booties this weekend.

We have a boat load of stuff to sell, and I would stick it all on here, but it would take a week to type up!

Dvd's, CD, kids toys/clothing, and bits n bobs etc...

Anyone got any tips for selling stuff at car booties?

Normally one near Chester le-street on the way to Stanley.

Mate swears by it.

How about Sedgefield Racecourse on a Sunday..
Not a bad location as long as weather is ok.

Sunday (or Monday aswell this week) afternoon at Seaham. Biggest in the area by far.
Its on the coast road, so if you drive from Sunderland to Seaham you can't miss it.
If you are selling get there for about 11 if the weathers nice otherwise you might not get in

Tips: display it nicely, make sure its clean, don't sell at stupidly low prices to the vultures that come around before the boot sale opens properly.
Get a plastic sheet from poundland or asda in case it rains
Use the toilets as early as possible as they get disgusting by the end of the day!
Take a flask for coffee / tea or buy from Dinky Donuts, as the other burger vans' drinks taste like ****!
Price things right - if you try to sell second hand stuff at shop prices you won't sell any (yes people do!)

Depends on the boot sale. The Seaham one is a market/car boot. Mainly traders around the outside, but the middle is second hand. I've been selling on it now for a few years and definately is the best round here

There is a good one just outside Chester Le Street, just off A1 on way to Stanley, its opposite Batleys cash and carry but this one always packs up very early, have seen sellers leaving as early as 11am. Another one which is good is swalwell near the metro center, its at the rugby club. Hope that helps but might just check this one out at Seaham myself this weekend ;-)

was thinking;

DVDs - £2.00 each, or 2 for £3.00
CD's Singles - £1 each or 2 for £1.50 (all 6 for £4)
Books - £2.50 each
Board Games (Cludeo and Crosshand Poker) - £4 each, or for £6
Standard Sky Remote & Magic Eye - £5.00
Cushions (5) - £3.00 each

Kids (Boys) Toys - £1.50 per item, 2 for £2.50
Kids (Boys) Clothing - £2-3 per item

I also have my Technics 5x DVD Surround Sound System which i wanna sell, but this is not really the place - If anyone is intrested in this I can get a picture uploaded again, and you can make an odder. Got a cpl items (mixture), where I would want £5-£10 for them. Also our lass wants to advertise her "mobile reflexology" sideline so this is an ideal chance ;-)

If anyone is intrested in any items, just let me know ;-)

A tip, although it says 1pm, if they get all the sellers in early John sometimes lets the buyers in at around 12.30, ditto if it looks like rain.

Books - £2.50, paperback or hardback?
you will strugle for £2.50 on paperbacks, bear in mind asda sell new releases for £3.73 or 2 for £7
DVD's I would stick at £2 each, if people buy a few they will ask for a little off anyway.

well, we went and are now back..

initally went Batleys at half 6 this morning, to find it was not on due to weather. Decided to go fro brekky, and ended up at Seaham about 10ish!!

Queued til just after 11, and got in, set up in time for 11:30!! Canny pitch all in all, and tbh only came home with just under 3rd of what we took. With entry free and float, food and drink (which was about £8), we cleared £50.00 so not a bad day all in all.

was fairly busy today, but people weren't spending much, we only did about half what we usually do on a day like today. Whereabouts were you?
