Weight of photo paper asda use?

Anyone know what the weight of the photopaper that asda use for their photos from their photo shop is?

I asked the dude at the counter and he told me they don't weigh it - lol!

I need to print around 470 photos at 7x5 and asda do them at 12p per photo but their paper seems a bit thin. Would like the know the weight so I can compare with others online.

They use Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper.

It's very good when you use the machines on the counter and they print the prints (not the instant booth thingys).

I'm a photographer and when I've got a rushed order and can't use my pro lab I'll use Asda. Photobox seem to use the same paper as Asda, always select Matt with them and you'll get the nice satin paper rather than the glossy.

I went to Asda and got a sample - just the free sample which just has a photo and has 20% off advertising their stuff - but it seems really thin, are their photos much better quality? The matt stuff looks much better, not too keen on glossy.

If you can go with anyone that does lustre paper go with that, its been a massive hit at our studio.

Who does that? Asda obviously don't.

Also Photobox are quite expensive for 7x5 pictures if they use the same as Asda, Asda are 12p per picture whereas Photobox charge 19p per print. Make a difference with 500 or so prints.

Only found 1 company that does them and they're in america: http://ezprints.com/Prints/prints/default.aspx

dont recommend it for high volumes of photos becuase of the cost but if you're looking to have one particular image framed etc then deffinatly go for lustre.

Sorry to bring up an old post but does anyone know if ASDA's prints have writing on the back? I'm thinking it may be cheaper to use them for printing invitations than using my own printer, but cant really have writing on the back of them.
