i thought defoe was better than cole.

Defoe's got to be in the first team if he keeps his form up, clinical finishing.
Carlton Cole was awesome as well though, if only we didn't give them slack goals away.

Didn't think Cole was all that, Defoe was sharp and should get a chance up front with Rooney from the start for the next game.

Ferdinand & Barry need to be put in there place though, both probably take their England place for granted now.

Kuyt was excellent, good news for Liverpool fans.

Guys are you serious?

Defoe did good, great first goal, 2nd tap in. Cole was the target man and for half hour he failed to control just 1 ball. Other than his goals Defoe didnt seem to do mutch. 2 goals though cant fault him.

Milner also staked his claim.

Ferdinand & Barry were disappointing but it was a friendly, nice to see us hold our own against one of the best in form teams at the minute.

So you missed the header over the bar, the run and cut out pass to Rooney for the tap in, the harrassing to recover the ball for the attempt for Wright Phillips?

One serious question.

Do you support West Ham Utd? I cant believe anyone who doesn't have a bias would suggest what you have TBH.

Totally agree but look at the change after half time, Heskey off Cole on the difference was huge.

Its all about the build up, Defoe will get the goals but Coles build up will create them

And Rooney has been tucking them away throughout qualification.

Defoe is a good option for the bench but I think Carlton Cole has got a good chance of taking the Heskey role in the next international.

Definitely agree with that, Cole did a much better job than Heskey.
Even when Rooney doesn't score he offers so much to the team you cant leave him out, I'd like to see him take on players a bit more like he used to though.

I agree. Cole did play well. Just dont think he was the MOTM as you've suggested.

ok i admit MOTM was a little off, he only played half hour.

Ill give you that one.

Great performance 2nd half from the team though
